Senior Portraits

Monday November 18, 2019  Senior discounts, senior specials, senior residences … when I heard some of my photographer friends talk about specializing in senior portraits I thought “How wonderful to capture our senior citizens while there is still time!”   But they were referring to seniors in high school!  Arghh!  That was quite a few years ago and I wanted to do something like that for my parents.  Sadly they’re both gone now and it never happened. Oh we have plenty of photos of them but I really think a special photo session called a senior portrait is important!  So I decided to do my own senior portrait for my 70th birthday. I asked Ed to use my new iPhone and I wanted to be standing next to the new 4 acres of Blue Moon Ranch. I had a glass of wine in hand to toast the occasion. – He took the photos and I did the edits in Photoshop to correct the lighting and remove bird poop from the fencing. lol  Yes my middle is too thick and I have extra chins, but that’s me!  And it is a day my kids will now be able to remember forever.  So do me a favor and if you are 50 or older – get s senior portrait done!  If you need help with it, contact me privately.

Photo of the day:  My senior portrait. It’s hard to be on the other side of the camera, but sometimes you just have to do it. Our grandson also took an informal senior portrait of the 2 of us on the new property!  🙂 Can you see our house way behind us?
