Getting ready for a cold night

Thursday October 10, 2019  Oh my I wish I had been able to record the races here last night. Somehow, alpacas know when it’s going to get really cold and they run and run to build up internal heat before they settle down for the night. My friends who keep their herds safely tucked away in paddocks would not be able to see this but I’ll tell you it’s amazing. The oldest ones to the youngest ones are running and jumping and it really looks like they are all having fun! I do think the baby boys were surprised since it’s the first time it’s happened this year.

Also, I received this notice from my web host:

“In an effort to improve uptime and stability, we will be upgrading your web hosting server’s hardware! Here are some of the benefits of the upgrade:

All solid-state drive(SSD) backed storage. This means much faster access and write times for data.

Moving to Intel(R) Xeon(R) E5 processors vs existing AMD. “

I’ll assume that means things will be better, but they also said there will be intermittent interruption all weekend. So if you try to visit bluemoonranch.net you might find the site is down.  All should be back in shape by Monday.

I’m going to take this as a sign that I might need to unplug for the weekend and recharge my batteries too. Next blog post will be next week.  Enjoy the weekend y’all!
