Pioneer day or Pie and Beer day?

Wednesday Joy 24, 2019  If you live in Utah like we do, you know that today is a holiday.  But for the rest of the world it’s just another Wednesday in July and you might wonder what the fuss is all about.  Well, today commemorates the entry of Brigham Young and the first group of Mormon pioneers into the Salt Lake Valley on July 24, 1847.  Since Pioneer sounds a bit like Pie and Beer, it’s also called Pie and Beer Day.  😀 I’ll let you guess which one we will be celebrating. Our Salt Lake City family is coming up today to get out of the heat and we’re looking forward to that.  We’re also hoping for firework to be kept at a minimum, but it’s just part of July in Utah. Happy Wednesday if you’re not in Utah!

Photo of the day: Did somebody say Pie and Beer? 🤣 (Harry Potter loves pie and Beer)
