Full Moon Frolics

Thursday July 18, 2019 You know all creatures, including humans get a little amped up for a full moon. The full moon we had a few nights ago brought all kinds of night time activity to the farm to keep us from sleeping. I know we had a skunk in the front yard (thanks Belle) and Charlotte warned us of some potential invaders all.night.long. With full apologies to any neighbors who also heard her, this girl is just doing her job. I have heard many stories of Pyrenees rescues gone bad when taking a house pet and trying to turn them into a livestock guardian dog, but Charlotte is the exception. She has ripened into an excellent guardian and is using her voice to warn predators so she doesn’t have a conflict inside the fencing. Chief is happy to have her take a leading role and he is glad for her help as he nears retirement. #gratefulfortheguardians

Photo of the day: Vigilant as ever during the full moon, and always, our beloved Charlotte.
