Beach day!

Thursday July 11, 2019  Last year, the creek area was closed for most of the summer because we hosted our son’s wedding in that area and we didn’t want to deal with “bean piles”.  No wedding this year so the alpacas are enjoying lots of “beach” time.  It keeps them cool, it lets me check everyone as they move through the gate and it makes a fun video. And we won’t have to mow that pasture!

I’ll do a quick ride on the pasture vac this morning to clean up the beans before I go to pickup my local grandson who will be here for the day.  I bought a tomato plant this week ( I’m an eternal optimist trying to garden at 6500 feet altitude) and plan to use those beans for planting in.  If the fall frost comes late I might get a tomato or two.  Wish me luck. 🍅
