Turning fleeces into yarn! 🧶

Thursday June 20, 2019  Well if it’s Thursday then our grandson will be here today. 🙂 He’s a good helper and so very gentle with all the animals I look forward to him being here. We’ll be skirting some fleeces today – We need to get them in the waiting line – 5 bags went out earlier this week and I’d like to have 5 more ready be the time those are done. Yes, we do get priority treatment from our processor.  We’ve been sending them fleeces for 20+ years and have a lot of fleeces we send in every year, so they take very good care of us. For those who call that unfair, that is simply how you run a good business. Take very good care of your best customers. (Have you noticed how the airlines will board their best customers first, it’s the same idea.)   We’re going to have some amazing yarn and roving this year and I can hardly wait to show you what we’re doing!  Stay tuned.

He’s a big, beautiful and hard working boy. He deserves a rest now and then.

I get it! I am sure your processor appreciates your consistent business and value your loyalty.

    Hi Linda,
Sure do Love your posts. I met you last year at the fall open barn day. I am the one that bowled with Suzie! I have a question (probably) silly, but can you tell whose fleece is who’s?
    thanks, and enjoy the day.

Oh definitely! Each alpaca gets their individual fleece put in a bag right after it comes off. So we know exactly who is who in all our fleeces.
