How to tell them apart

Friday March 8, 2019  To me, each and every alpaca here looks different and I know them all by name. To a lot of people, the only distinguishing difference is their color. But within the colors, the differences are really fun.  All these are white girls, but Cecily has a brown spot on her shoulder, Angelica looks pregnant all the time, Millie towers over the group, Gracie’s wide eyes are the prettiest, and Aspen has a squishy nose. Last summer, we had 2 gray babies born close to the same time. From some angles, it’s hard to tell who is Geneva and who is Harry Potter. I know that if one of them is in my way, it will be Harry,  since he likes to be around people.  But he was also born with a tiny black mark on the side of his face. That first day, I thought it was a fly or a smudge of dirt and I was trying to wipe it off. But it’s his mark. And now it’s turned into an apostrophe!  lol  So if you come for a visit and see a friendly gray alpaca with an apostrophe on his face, you’ll know it’s Harry Potter. Happy Friday!

Linda, Is Millie who towers over everyone, Millie named for Millie Murray?
