Filled with gratitude and taking a little break

Monday October 1, 2018  Filled with gratitude indeed.  I’m always humbled when I see the crowds that want to come here as I share my passion for alpacas.  And more humbled by our volunteer workers who stay here for two days to help it all happen. Amy and John, Meggan and Beth, you all were great!  Beth stands in the walking path for hours answering any questions about alpacas – she could probably write a book by now, Meggan entertained the crowds spinning alpaca fiber on the Spinning wheel, John filled in as parking director (and gave Beth a break when she needed one) and Amy was a wizard with her drop spindle, answered knitting or spinning questions and gave me a break in the store as needed.  Of course I can’t forget my partner in this business – Ed, who puts up with my crazy moods the weeks before we open our gates and always cheers me on.  Thank you all!  Today we rest, no inventory deadlines, no more labelling, nothing but caring for the animals and that is the best part anyway. 🙂 . Thanks to all who came and make our event a success!

The winner of the free private tour of Blue Moon Ranch is Ray Sorrels.  Many thanks to all who entered the giveaway!

Photo of the day: It’s a resting day today. Ginger agrees.
