A one in a million neighbor

Saturday May 26, 2018  We thought we had a great plan.  Dump a load of topsoil so we could use it to repair some of the alpaca damaged spots and re grow some areas to make this place all spiffy for the wedding party later this summer.  Except that the dump truck was heavier than any of us thought and got seriously stuck in the entry to the pasture.  As in it sunk about 12 inches into the moist grass. 🙁   Ed tried to help pull him out with the Kubota but it’s just not powerful enough.  So we went across the street and found our one in a million neighbor to help us out. He’s ALWAYS ready to help when needed and he smiles about it too! He pulled the dump truck out of the bog, we thanked him and we tried to find a better place to dump the soil. And that’s when he got stuck … again.  Back to ask for more help from the awesome neighbor who was STILL SMILING and even laughing this time. One day I’ll tell you the story of how he chased a huge wandering bull out of our pasture for us!  Thanks LaVerl, you’re the best!

Photos of the day: Our one in a million neighbor. The second time we called him back he was laughing! Then of course they had to talk about it over and over and over.  lol
