Wednesday May 2, 2018 Rain today and snow tonight will have the pacas coming back into the cam view I imagine. All 3 doodles are going in for summer haircuts today, but they can always come inside if it’s chilly so no worries about them. We’ll leave the outside dogs and alpacas have their winter coats for just a bit longer. The guardian dogs have started to lose their winter undercoats all over the pastures – it looks like a pillow exploded in some spots. Alpaca shearing will be on Friday June 8 and the plan is to have the guardian dogs all brushed out by that date. No, I do not spin dog hair. Yes it can be spun, but when I have all that alpaca fleece, it just doesn’t make sense. Happy Tuesday!
