Tuesday May 1, 2018 ‘Twas a lovely snow day in Woodland yesterday. I needed to drive in to Kamas (5 minutes away) and it was barely snowing there, we do have our own weather here. It continued til about 3 pm and we got about 3 inches of white on the ground. But the ground was dry and this boost of moisture was definitely needed. More snow or rain tonight and then spring might return for a bit. We got the barn cleaned out at the perfect time – now the new compost pile is streaming like crazy with the added moisture that fell on it and that earthy tobacco alive smell of that steaming is one of my favorites, wish I could bottle it. Happy May Day!
