Friday March 30, 2018 It will be warm enough today for me to spend some time reorganizing Yaya’s Yarn Barn. I have about 150 new bars of soap that need to be moved out there along with all my new knitted hats and my tins of Yaya’s healing salve. I also invested in a knitting machine to help me get some hats finished and it’s been quite fun. As you might know I am more of a farmer than a knitter, but our customers want things that I make from the fleeces of our animals. And now I can have more of that available. Sometimes I wonder if I should call it a “Gift Shop” rather than Yaya’s Yarn Barn, but it’s also fun to see the surprise on customer’s faces when they look at all the treasures inside. You know you can come shop by making an appointment if you done want to wait for the next open barn day on May 19.
