Our wild neighborhood

Monday October 2, 2017  Belle and I take a walk together most days. We see feral cats, neighbor goats and assorted creepy crawlies.  But yesterday a cougar walked right across our path. Belle was focused on a caterpillar making its way across the road but my jaw dropped. He walked right in to the foothills and didn’t make a sound.  I am always grateful for my guardian dogs protecting the alpacas but even more so after a sighting like that.  That is why they bark – they sense these predators and bark to warn them away. I was pleased with every bark I heard last night!

Photo of the day:  This is the road we walk on, I photo shopped in the cougar so you can see what we saw.
