Tuesday, August 30, 2016 At first light yesterday morning, I saw why the Pyrs had been barking. It was a porcupine! Chief had Charlotte had quills all over their faces. 🙁 (Abby was happy to sit this one out, lucky girl) It seems that Mondays are not an easy day for a vet to take care of emergencies but we finally found one that could see us. Both dogs were sedated, quills removed and back home by the end of the day. Just after I got home with the dogs a neighbor’s chihuahua got into the chicken area and terrorized the hens, I’m afraid we lost one. If Chief had been feeling better the chihuahua wouldn’t have survived. Beware little dog, Chief is better today! So Monday was not the relaxing day I had planned, but there’s hope for today!
