Tuesday, May 5, 2015 One week ago today I got the call that we lost the patriarch of our family. Shock, grief, overwhelming sadness, and feelings of despair as we tried to figure out care for my mom reigned. But at the same time feeling the love and closeness (though many miles separate us all) of my siblings and their families was the magic that helped us all get though. I love all of them so much my heart is exploding at the thought. So now we’ll get back to life on the ranch, eh? The house dogs were soooo happy to see us when we got in, even though it was 1:30 a.m. Soon, we’ll be welcoming new babies into the herd and life will go on.
