FAQs about Private Farm Tours
Why do we need have four people? Our private tours are very popular. There are only 2 of us here who care for all the animals and keep the property maintained. So there are only so many hours we can devote to tours. If we have tours for only 1 or 2 people, we would have to turn away too many people.
Why do we need to be there at 2 o’clock? 2:00 works well for visits between animals feedings and other chores. We do not have employees at this time.
Can we bring food to feed the alpacas? Nope, that’s not necessary, we will give you some of their favorite treats to feed them as part of you tour.
Can I bring my dog along? Nope. Our guardian dogs have one job. And that is to keep all threats away from the alpacas. This would include any dog they see. Even dogs left in parked cars in the driveway can get them riled up.
How long does the tour last? About an hour, sometime longer if you have lots of questions.
Why do you charge money for the tours? The money generated from tours helps us buy hay for winter feeding and covers other farm expenses. It is how we are able to keep things running here.
Do you offer free tours for schools and other groups? Not any more. Sorry. We used to but our time is more limited these days.
