I clearly remember my panicky thought during my first year with alpacas almost 20 years ago. Please God, don’t let them die while I figure this out. 
Almost 20 years later, I think have figured most of it out. I’m still observing, still learning and always fascinated by these amazing creatures that have shared my life.
I voraciously read everything alpaca that I could get my hands on, attended seminars all over the country and most of all learned so much from watching the herd. Since then we have birthed hundreds of babies, kept a very healthy herd and are proud of our accomplishments.
When you buy alpacas from Blue Moon Ranch I commit to be your mentor for as long as you need one. You can contact me at any time and know that I will be available to help. 
However, there are times I get calls to help with rescue alpacas, new owners who do not have a mentor or just someone with very little experience looking for help. I will always lend a hand if possible. But there are only so many hours in the day and I have already committed to help Blue Moon Ranch customers, so I have decided to offer consultations others who request help for $50 per hour, plus travel expense if necessary. Consultations can be over the phone, or in person. You can request your consultation time by sending an email to linda@bluemoonranch.net We will then send a PayPal invoice once a time is scheduled.
