Monday March 31, 2025 I thought the flu we had in February was bad, but that was because I didn’t know what March had in store for us! Good grief. After we recovered from Flu type A we barely started to plan some exploring trips and we both started to feel under the weather again. How can we have 2 bouts with flu? Well because March gave us Flu type B! The problem became more urgent when mine turned into pneumonia and my oxygen levels were plummeting. A quick trip to the ER and I had my first New Mexico hospital experience. (Thanks to Farmer Ed for insisting I go.) From the minute I got in, my goal was to get out. I felt I could heal better sleeping in my own bed and eating healthy food. Actually I did have a private room because I was in isolation, and the room happened to have a beautiful view of the city. I even saw a hot air balloon the first morning I was there. As nice as it was I really wanted to get home. After three days, I was released with oxygen and my home never looked so beautiful. 😊 The dogs were overjoyed and I’m slowly getting my strength back.
Truth: No matter what you think is important at the moment, if you don’t have good health, it’s time to rearrange priorities. I’m so grateful to be on the mend. 🙏
So our exploring and sharing photos of New Mexico has been put on hold just for a bit while we both continue to heal. As I mentioned before, I don’t know how long this website will be live, please feel free to sign up for my updates in your email box by clicking the link below.
One more really strange thing. I was so happy to finally be able to shower once I got home. The shower was wonderful as expected, but when I stepped out, I noticed a strange sign/symbol on the shower door. I’ve never seen it before and after it faded, I have never seen it since. I’m not sure what it meant or how it got there, but I almost feel like it might have been a sign that something or someone is glad I’m back and healing my lungs. This house was built in the late 1800’s and I’ve been told there are spirits still here. Check out the photo and tell me if you have any ideas what it might be. Weird, huh?
Stay healthy, my friends, the alternative is not worth it. As always, thanks for checking in. 🙏

View from the hospital room.
Now that I’m home, the Doggos will not let me out of their sight.
Beautiful spring colors greeted me all around the property. See why I had to get home!
The courtyard where spring and summer dining will be happening soon. Just a wee bit nicer than my hospital room.
Best of all, we opened the pool! I’m not strong enough to go in yet, but I hope I will be soon.
Strange symbol on my shower door. ?????? I saw it the day I got home and have not seen it again since.

Oh. My. Goodness! (Ominous music playing in the background) Strangest thing I have ever heard or seen. At first look I thought it was one of those wood things that you put into honey 😀 I’m so glad you guys are doing better. I too had about of pneumonia a couple of months ago. Did stay overnight but refused to stay longer as I knew that with pink Himalayan saltwater, red light therapy and all my herbs, I’d be able to heal myself much more quickly 😀 your place is magical. Linda, I hope to head that way sometime this year and I’ll have to stop by and bug you guys for a minute. Sending lots of love and hugs

Weird isn’t it? I saw a head, like on a stick, a rib cage and a pelvic bone. Like a petroglyph kind of thing. Whatever, it didn’t frighten me, quite the opposite I almost felt comforted.
Seems it’s been a bad year for pneumonia! Glad you’re OK now.
And a very Happy Birthday to you today!!
