Tuesday, May 21, 2024 As a matter fact, I do have some news for you this time. 😊 Farmer Ed and I just returned from a delightful long weekend in New Mexico. If you have followed this blog for a while, you know how much I love New Mexico. Well, a little miracle happened while we were visiting and an absolutely perfect house came on the market the day after we arrived. Almost like it was meant to be. And it is now ours! Yes, we did it. The contract has been signed and earnest money accepted. Closing will probably be in mid July. So much to think about between now and then, but I’ll tell you, this just feels like the way it was supposed to happen. I’ve been looking at homes there for more than a year and it is no small coincidence that the perfect home show showed up exactly when we were there.
I wasn’t sure if I could get Farmer Ed on board with the whole idea but snow here in the past few weeks compared with sunny and 80° there helped a lot. It was 27° here this morning in Woodland and the ground was frosty and white. There is a reason why so many old people move to Florida! lol But we don’t go where the crowds go, and New Mexico is actually a much better place for us. I’ll share more details about the house the location over the next few weeks.
Many thanks to the gentle boy who took care of the dogs and cats here while we were in New Mexico. All is well, things are moving along as they should. As always, thanks for checking in.
Photo of the day: A sneak peek of the new back yard. Yes that is a waterfall in the background.

Congratulations and how exciting for you both! I can also see you both enjoying the sun and fun down in New Mexico full time. I did love the picture of Ed having a rest after doing the pastures in your last post. I too, also hope you’ll keep posting, I have always loved your updates and stories about life on the ranch.
