Tuesday, May 7, 2024 After the animals left last fall, I had many dreams about them, but mostly about the dogs. Sometimes in my dreams, the dogs would find their way back here from Minnesota and I was always glad to see them. It also involved them running away again and again and again. But again, this was just a dream. So when I saw two big white dogs in the road yesterday on my way to the grocery store, I kind of freaked out. I turned the car around to go back and get a better look. It was not Blue and Juno, but my heart did a few extra thumps for sure. There are many sheep herds that wander in these mountains, and they will almost always be accompanied by big white dogs as guardians. Occasionally, the dogs wander away from the herd, that’s how we got our big boy Chief many years ago. Actually, he was found very close to this same area also standing in the road. I could not stop to check out the dogs any longer because Banjo and Belle were going absolutely nuts in the backseat of my car. I hope these two found their way back to their flock of sheep and shepherd. I’ll drive back without the house dogs today and see if I can find them. Any local friends want to check on them this was on HWY 32 between Kamas and Heber.
The snow continues pile up, but the roads seem OK since it’s a ‘bit’ warmer than January. Hard freeze warnings for tonight, but we know better than to put anything in the ground before the end of May here. Stay warm and thanks again for checking in.
Photo of the day: OMG, this sight sure made my heart skip a few beats. (There was snow here earlier but by mid afternoon when I was out, it had all melted.)

Wow, that must have been a shock! Hope they find their flock. We had two big snow storms in April, but thankfully we are past that. Hope Spring comes soon to you folks.

It was a shock for sure! Fingers crossed they get back where they belong. Enjoy your spring! 🌷

That’s a little bit eerie! It’s easy to understand your reaction, especially after the dreams you had! I hope they found their way back home, too! They are rather mystical critters, those Pyrenees dogs!

They are! I’m so glad I had a very recent photo of Blue from Minnesota so ii could convince myself it couldn’t really be them.
