Monday, April 15, 2024 No, I have not forgotten about the blog, but we have had some busy times at the ranch. Our mobile vet came out this morning, and the whole neuter event with Toothless went flawlessly. I was concerned about restraining him in a carrier, but he took it all in stride. He’s back in his favorite cat house with a warming lamp to keep him comfortable until he is fully awake. For a formerly feral kitty he was an excellent patient! I was secretly relieved that he didn’t turn out to be a female on closer observation. whew.
In other news, we’re expecting the arrival of our newest grandson later tonight or early tomorrow. The first time daddy spent the night here last night to help with some jangled nerves. If there’s one thing I am and always have been it’s the calmest person in the room. So I was glad to help share some of that energy with him. He’s on his way to hang out with his wife at the other grandparent’s house which happens to be 10 minutes from the hospital. Send good thoughts please.
A gray and rainy day will keep Toothless from wanting to get out and play and leave room for sunshine tomorrow with the arrival of a new life. Fingers crossed. As always, thanks for checking in.
