A Toothless Tale

Friday February 16, 2024  What progress!  Not only did little Toothless make an appearance when I went out last night, he even ate while I sat there. A first!  You can see his small size next to Bogart, our yellow boy. The paper plates I feed them on are lunch size so that is also a clue to his small size. I can’t help but wonder where he lived and where he ate before he stumbled upon the Blue Moon cat house. I am quite sure that the guardian dogs would not have allowed him in the alpaca barn’s cat zone. So he’s lucky he didn’t attempt residency here sooner.

When I sit out there I visualize him sitting calmly on my lap while I pet him. At that point I might also know if he is a she or not!  The neuter or spay issue becomes more urgent if we have a wee lass, since we do not need a litter of feral kittens.   But, one day at a time. And yesterday we made great progress.

More snow today. Happy Friday and thanks for checking in.

Oh what a glossy coat the little one has! I always loved black cats and all my Ragdolls are pointed, so I can’t get a black cat there. Great progress you’ve made getting him/her to start trusting you. That little dragon is adorable too. 🙂

Thanks Lana. My very first cat way back when I lived in Chicago was a black cat I named Ebony. I loved her. 🖤 So I have a soft spot in my heart for black cats too. Feral cats are a challenge for sure, but slow and steady is how we’ll go.
