Sunday, July 30, 2023 Well I think it’s time you know a big reason why my posts have been few and far between lately. I began this decision making process last February, shared the decision with our kids in April and now it’s time to let our friends and followers know. The Blue Moon herd is for sale and our plan is to move from the area. Many things have to fall in to place for this to happen, and I’ve found it very hard to even talk about it, but nothing will happen if I don’t start to look for a new caretaker for my beloved herd. I thought we had found a caretaker for all of them but sadly that fell apart. Click on the link below to read the announcement I’ve been working on:
I will continue the blog, the on line store and I’m actually quite excited to let the creative part of my brain have some time again. It’s been a stressful few months coming to terms with all of this.
Now that I can post honestly again, you will be hearing from me more often. ❤️
If you want to comment privately, my email is linda@bluemoonranch.net
Please share this if you know someone who would be a good candidate for taking over care of this beautiful herd!
Thank you.

Sorry about this turn of events. I have visited your ranch several times and it was always quite enjoyable. Wishing you the best of luck with your new situation!

God bless you, Farmer Ed, and all of the Blue Moon gang. I can only imagine what a heart-wrenching decision this has been for you and your family and of course, I wish you the best of luck as you dive into a new life without alpacas. You have taught me so much, not only about alpacas, but a love of land and nature. Thank you, Linda!
Linda
Oh Gigi, now you got me crying again. However, that’s actually pretty easy to do lately!

I can’t imagine how much your heart hurts – don’t remember how I found my way to your site, but from day one I, knew your site was a place for one to feed their soul and gain – knowledge on so many subjects ❤️. May your journey be filled with peace , love and happiness – wishing you many many blessings✨
Linda
Thanks for your kind words, Jackie.
Lana
You have a beautiful herd and someone will be lucky to get them. I know that it must be a terribly hard decision. I hope you find someone who will appreciate your beauties and that gorgeous farm.
Linda
Thanks Lana. Finding them the best new home is all I care about now. And it will take as long as it takes. Fingers crossed not forever!

I wish you the best in your future endeavors. I will pray your herd gets the best home possible. I have such fond memories of the Blue Moon Ranch.
Linda
Thanks Cathy.

Linda and Farmer Ed,
I am so sorry to hear this. I can’t imagine how your hearts are breaking. I hope you find the right fit for these beautiful babies! Maybe a miracle will happen and someone will buy your whole place! Sorry to the gentle boy (young man) too! Prayers for healing!
Linda
Finding the herd a new home is my driving focus, it breaks my heart to do so, but i will make sure it’s the best for them. Yes, the gentle boy had a hard time when we first told him, but he’s grown to understand that it’s for the best.
