Wednesday, May 31, 2023 Our countdown to shearing day starts tomorrow. I’ll take a task each day to get everything ready before June 10. I’ll rearrange fencing to allow easy movement of animals, prepare bags and labels, get food ready for the group and more. It’s all good, I’ve done it for enough years that I can imagine the day in my mind and it will go smoothly as long as I’ve done all the work the week before. The actual day is pretty enjoyable! Fleeces are looking great this year, let me know if you are interested in a raw fleece. It’s a humbling experience to take it from right off the animal to a finished item and makes me appreciate why i pay for help with washing, carding and spinning. Happy Wednesday!
