Monday, May 8, 2023 The orioles are back! I’ve had my cut oranges and grape jelly out for a few days now and yesterday I was thrilled to see their brilliant orange feathers. They probably wintered in Mexico which was a pretty good plan considering the winter we had! So now we’ll enjoy them here for a few months and I’ll be sure to keep their feeder filled. I’ve heard the hummingbirds as well but haven’t seen them at their feeder yet. If it’s a sign of old age to be so happy about the birds, so be it! lol Happy Monday!

So beautiful. Love birds, only ever saw a hummingbird in my sister’s garden in San Francisco years ago, before moving back to Utah. We don’t have them here in the UK. Not sure if we have the one you photographed either. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks Carol!

Yay!!! I saw my first one yesterday but I did not get a picture. I had to dig out my feeder, fill the container with grape jelly, and mount the orange halves. No sighting so far today. Also, put out a hummingbird feeder in anticipation.

Great! True confession … my oriole feeder stayed out all winter! The snow came too early and I never got to that tree. It was empty but at least I knew where it was. lol
