Saturday, February 11, 2023 I heard a redwing blackbird singing yesterday! That sweet sound is our first promise that spring is coming and I absolutely love it. I can even hear him singing this morning as I sit in my office, it seems we have a loud choir leader this year! Sing on and welcome back. I’ll keep the feeder filed for you.
No unexpected snow came yesterday so we put more hay outside for the girls and they enjoyed dining in the sunshine too. The more they use that area, the more packed down it becomes. They still will not take the dog paths to go any further, but I don’t blame them. One misstep and your leg might be in 2 feet of icy snow. The boys have a much sunnier situation, with a south facing barn and they eat outside almost every day. Happy Saturday!
