Wednesday February 8, 2023 We have enjoyed a few days without new snow but when I look out the window I’m reminded we are still in the grip of deep winter. We did clear more snow for the alpacas to be able to get out of their barns more and they definitely appreciated our efforts. Many were outside to see the sun rise this morning!
We really are fortunate to have all this snow, now we have to hope for a slow warm up this spring. Flooding is real when you live in an old river bottom. I’ve never seen the river jump it’s banks since we’ve lived here but we’ve never had a snow year quite like this. We’ll take it one day at a time for now. No chance of flooding today! 😃 Happy Wednesday!
Photo of the day: I love this place. Yes even in deep winter.

Hope you get your long, slow melt. Winter here has been so odd. We are having another rain storm starting as snow tonight. As if we don’t already have a hard crust on our snow. Yours is so beautiful.
Linda
Thanks Lana. We are all at the mercy of the weather these days. Caring for animals in winter keeps us young I hope!
