Friday, December 9, 2022 It’s another gray winter day and it makes me glad for all the bright and happy lights around at this time of year! The sun definitely stays hidden too often in December, but we know how to fix that …. more lights! The barn has Christmas lights inside and out and we have lights in every possible corner of the house. 12 more days til the winter Solstice and the longest night of the year. We got this. Feeling glum? Light a candle. I’ll share an easy candle decoration in the second photo below. Be the brightness! Happy Friday!
Photo of the Day: Waiting for Santa? Or to make sure no cats come near the bird feeders? Perhaps both.
Take a mason jar, fill with fresh cranberries (they’re really cheap at the grocery store now) add a white candle and voilà. Holiday light! (Thanks Jan)

Beautiful. Remember ice cubes in a milk carton and pouring colored paraffin in it to make a candle?
Linda
Sounds fun. I don’t think we did that though.

The cranberries in the jar is a great idea! Thanks!

You’re so welcome Gigi. Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best. 😊

Oh, and your tree and lights are beautiful however the dogs don’t seem impressed!
We just brought our tree inside after being in a bucket in the garage for a couple of weeks. I’ll put the lights on either tonight or tomorrow and then bask in its delightful glory. Ornaments – maybe, maybe not!
Linda
Many years I’ve been tempted to stop after the lights. Enjoy your tree however you dress it!
