Monday, October 3, 2022 Come along with us on our Sunday drive! We decided to leave our guardian dogs in charge here and see if the colors were any more brilliant up the road. They were, yellows have made their brilliant appearance and we met another huge flock of mountain sheep. We even saw the elusive black sheep. This time we had no choice but to pull off the road and they moved past us. And the guardian dogs accompanying this flock were much more like ours, a few came up to the car like they wanted a pat on the head! But I have no doubt they keep the sheep safe from predators. A fun Sunday afternoon but always good to get back home to the alpacas. Happy Monday!
Photos of the Day: Come for a drive with us! You get used to the curves in the road after a while. Can’t miss those yellows!
A few oranges are still hanging on too.
Oh oh, traffic jam ahead.
Just sit tight and wait til the road is clear. They’re moving pretty fast for sheep!
There’s always one in every family, right? And can you see the herding dogs working to move the sheep along? They have a very different job than the guardian dogs.
Look at this cute sheep who stopped to say hi to us.
Herding dogs are bringing up the rear.
