Sunday, September 4, 2022 Today will be another day of intense heat here but we’re all coping. Our Salt Lake City family will be coming up here to get out of their intense heat which of course is hotter than ours. The alpacas are staying in the barn in front of fans and doing OK. Today will be a be a beach day for them as well when we let them into the creek. We can’t let the girls have full time creek access like the boys do because the boys and girls are too close there for unsupervised play time. lol They never share a fenceline here to keep things calm but the creek area has only one small fence between the boy area and the girl area. So sometimes the girls do some serious “flirting” and the boys get a little excited. To keep male alpacas calm it’s a good idea if the females are not even in sight. So I like to supervise when they are in that area. Happy Sunday!
