Monday, July 11, 2022 Our two biggest events every year year are #1 shearing and #2 hay delivery. And it’s a good feeling to have both behind us! We had 3 truckloads of hay delivered and stacked yesterday. We’ll get one more small hay delivery this week, but the bulk is in and it looks great. yay!!!
In other news, Odin the barn cat has been missing since July 2 and he came home this morning like it was no big deal. I’d love to know where he goes! He loved me fussing over him and ate all the food i offered him. Welcome home little buddy. Stop scaring me like that!
Have a good Monday all!
Photo of the day: One at a time til it’s all in the hay barn.
Blue and the alpaca boys supervised the whole event of the boys’ hay delivery.
The only casualty was farmer Ed’s shin. ouch He tried to blame it on a cougar but no one would buy it. Truth is he walked into a stake that he put in the ground to stabilize a fence. (after he removed the fence for the hay delivery) The wound is actually under the bandage, this is just the blood that kept gushing out. eeewww He’s fine this morning, no worries.

Beautiful hay! And no so beautiful wound on Farmer Ed’s leg. Hope it heals quickly!
Linda
Thanks Gigi. He’ll be fine and I keep reminding him this is why farmers don’t wear shorts. I guess when you grow up in California, shorts are the only proper summer attire. ha

Dear Farmer Ed, I am so sorry for your owie, but aren’t farmers supposed to wear overalls?

Linda
LOL. 🤣 Can’t wait to see his answer.

Sunny: I do wear overalls. They’re just very very short.
