Friday, July 1, 2022 Happy July! Even though our state is a “tinderbox” they have not restricted any fireworks, so we’ll be comforting our pups a lot this weekend. Poor Blue is most affected and we simply cannot bring him inside. (He and Banjo do NOT get along) I actually don’t think he’d like that anyway. What he wants is for me to sit outside with him. And I will as much as I can. I also bought some calming chews to help him and I hope that will give him some relief. None of our dogs like the noise of fireworks, although Banjo does love to watch the pretty colors in the sky. So far, Juno isn’t bothered by thunder so we’ll see how she handles the big booms. I’ve never been a big fan of fireworks, I’m too close to my dogs’ way of thinking. I prefer to see “quiet” colors in the sky like we had last night. It was amazing! Happy Friday!
Photo of the Day: After the rain last night, the sky turned strangely pink and a rainbow appeared!

WOW! That is gorgeous 😍😍😍
Salt Lake City Council voted (unanimously) to do laser light shows choreographed to 🎵 rather than fireworks! I was so excited to hear this. As you know, in addition to the issues it causes our fur babies and those that suffer from PTSD, it causes a lot of smoke in the valley.

I didn’t know that! Yay for you. Eastern Summit County will probably never give up their fireworks. It’s so hard on the animals. ☹️
Lana
I’m with you on the fireworks. What a great idea to do laser lights instead!
Linda
I’d love it if they’d do laser lights here! I’ll keep hoping! Salt Lake City is ahead of the game for sure.

Park City is NOT having fireworks! I’m not disappointed even though we don’t live in town. My dogs have never liked thunder or fireworks either.

That’s great for Park City. But 20 miles to the south will be a different story. I bet there will still be lots of personal fireworks here, one neighbor usually goes on for hours. 🙁
