Monday, May 9, 2022 We removed all the tarps from the boys barn this weekend just in time for another winter storm and the temp this morning is 21°. Ha (they’re fine and loving it) The few inches of snow on the ground will probably melt before noon. But it’s not a big surprise. We usually shear in early June and we’ve had snow on shearing day before. We also got most of the grass seed down for operation regrow and restore of the main pasture so the snow will bring some nice moisture to help with germination once it warms up a bit. And the compost pile is smokin’ like crazy this morning. 😁
True confession: Lest you think I have it all together and live in a perfect world, I will tell you I also just took my outside Christmas lights down this weekend. 😲 But hey, they’re down and I replaced them with fly traps. L O L Yes I have seen the dreaded flies and the way to slow them down is to put up the traps early. Getting ready for our private tours this month pushed me to clean up my act. Speaking of private tours, May is booked, as is most of June and into July. It will be fun to share this place and the animals with visitors once again. Happy Monday!
Photo of the day: Geneva was so happy to see her favorite boy yesterday!
Banjo is thrilled with the new snow this morning and couldn’t wait to get outside to lie in it.
I think it’s easy to see the path the alpacas made as they went out in search of grass this morning. From Camera 3 at 8:43 this morning.

Truth! I’ve never seen an alpaca have this much attraction to one human but she is definitely has a crush on him.
