Thursday, April 7, 2022 It’s cold out there! Only 18 degrees. But my compost pile is steaming and the alpacas are happy so I’ll just keep wearing my big winter coat. I should be grateful for any day under 50 degrees because anything warmer than that makes some of the alpacas uncomfortable. Today they’ll be over near Lower River Road and lots of people stop to see them there. If you stop, please remember that fence is a HOT wire! (we do have signs posted but it seems to me that people who most need to read signs never do) I backed into it once accidentally and thought someone smacked me in the head with a 2 X 4 and it knocked me to the ground. ouch! But it keeps Blue home, so we absolutely need it on. #respectthefence Enjoy your Thursday!
Photo of the Day: Look at this cute little muskrat I saw on my walk this week. He lives just across the road from the ranch. Raise your hand if you remember the song “Muskrat Love” by Captain and Tennille. 🤚🏻

Brrr. You can keep that cold weather there! Those fences are mean, but they do help with dogs that want to patrol the whole town. Ha, ha.

So true. Blue looks at any white wire now with great respect. We’re not sure if Juno has felt a zap yet or if Blue told her not to mess with white wires. 😁
