Sunday, March 13, 2022 Happy snowy Sunday morning. ❄️ One of the questions I am often asked is “Do alpacas like snow?” And I would have to say they really don’t mind it. They definitely don’t like wind or rain, but snow, especially if it’s our dry snow – it’s fine. When they are covered head to toe with warm fleece, it’s not a problem, but alpacas should always have shelter available. When it gets too deep to walk through, they do avoid traveling too far from the barn. And since all the food is in the barn it’s where they’ll be most often. Have a good Sunday.

These girls sure did. Sometimes I hesitate to post photos like this because #1 new owners think alpacas don’t need shelter or #2 I am criticized for not providing shelter. ha 😁
