Friday, February 18, 2022 It’s Presidents Day weekend and a busy weekend in Park City Utah, which means we’ll get some spill over and have lots of requests for visits. But we are still closed. Our driveway is still ice, the inventory from the yarn barn is in the house for on line shipping and we are one of the few households who have not yet had Covid and I’d like to keep it that way. In the past few weeks 2 friends have died and one is very sick in the hospital all from Covid. Somehow it doesn’t seem time for us to welcome tourists quite yet. As of February 17,2022 932,127 Americans have died from Covid. We seem to have become totally numb to that fact. I understand, it’s a lot to grasp. And people’s mental health demands that they get out and resume normal life as soon as they possibly can. Not to mention the economic aspects of too many businesses being closed can crush the economy. But this is our home, our health and our decision. I’ll let you know as soon as we’re open. Happy Friday!

I think you are being wise. It is easy to think it is over, but that other Omicron 2 is still around and I just read that it might be worse. A lot of people around here still mask, but more and more have stopped. We have some visitors coming this week. I’m hoping to keep them outside, but will let a knitter in if masked. You have larger groups, so safety first! (We also have escaped getting sick, fingers crossed.)

Thanks Lana. Covid aside – our driveway being so icy makes me think it’s just not wise to have visitors quite yet. People don’t often realize that it does take a bit of preparation to get ready for visitors and we don’t have any workers here – unless you count the dogs. lol
