Monday, January 31, 2022 I’ve been feeding the alpacas outside on the snow because they seem as tired of being in their barns as we all are staying in our homes this time of year. And with no snow in the forecast, the hay isn’t wasted by weather and what’s leftover becomes a nice spot to rest. As far as us humans getting away, I still don’t feel safe enough to travel. I understand that most people are so pandemic weary they have adopted a style of pandemic living and enjoy most of what they used to. I imagine it’s because we have a pretty decent place to live and work right here, but I think I’ll wait a bit longer before I plan our next getaway. Many friends who relaxed their safety measures have been sick, some kind of mild, some pretty severe, and I’m not ready to gamble on how sick we’d be. We don’t get sick days here! lol So we’ll enjoy the ranch and dream of vacations that will happen one of these days. Have a good Monday!
Photo of the Day: Vintage Roman. I love this boy – such a fleece machine.

Oh boy, I feel exactly as you do. Even mild illness is a hardship when you have a lot of animals to care for. And, like you said, we live at a beautiful place so are happy right at home. Our alpacas like getting outside too. Dick just snow blew the paddock and they are all out in the sun.

Yes. we are in a no virus zone! lol! It’s been so cold here all our snow has turned to ice. Glad your ‘pacas got out! Yay for Dick making it easy for them.
