Thursday, January 13, 2022 The winter barn is a very peaceful place. The alpacas dogs and cats are all forced inside by mother nature and they learn to live together. I love to sit out there with them on a cold morning as puffs of steamy breath appear here and there. Cud chewing and soft steps on the hay adds to the quiet magic. A dog paw touches my knee to remind me I have hands for petting and no words are spoken as I honor their request. The smell is warm and earthy and the quiet is healing. I hope you can find a place that offer you what the winter barn offers me. Happy Thursday and stay well!

I always loved our barn in the winter for the reasons you describe. The ice crystals forming on the outside walls were especially beautiful.
