Thursday, January 6, 2022 Wet snow is hard on animals. It’s so close to rain and they stay out in it because it seems like snow. But it can soak a puppy to the skin! And that is what happened to Juno. When I went out with her lunch she was shivering so much she could barely eat. And this bothered my “mother brain” more than I can stand. (#1 rule of a mother’s brain is – you must be warm and well fed) So I dried her off and stood over her with an extra heat lamp for an hour until she stopped shivering. But the wet snow kept falling and I feared the same thing would happen again. Ahhhh – try a cria coat. I have them in every size and found one that fit perfectly. But she ripped it off in less than 5 minutes. And the snow kept falling so I had to confine her to the barn. Oh the protests!! But she stayed dry and I was able to settle the mother brain down a bit. She’ll get to spend the day out with Blue today and we’ll take it one step at a time. Happy Thursday!
Photo of the Day: The coat lasted for less than 5 minutes before she ripped it off. I thought it looked quite smashing! haha

I watched my daughter’s dog while she traveled to California. I had strict instructions to put Manny’s winter coat on him. I’m pretty sure it was off before 5 minutes and he was shaking it about. I told her at Grandma’s house, Grandma makes the rules.

Ha thanks for the chuckle Gigi. 😂

Sometimes kids don’t know what’s good for them. Lol

Exactly! One shiver and she’s back in the barn!
