Friday, November 19, 2021 When I was a kid growing up in Chicago, every fiber of my soul craved being near animals. But a typical Chicago neighborhood had very few animals. I clearly remember when a dog in the neighborhood had puppies and I glued myself to that dog and her puppies every single day. It was wonderful. And if ever we passed a livestock hauling truck on the road, I’d stretch my neck to see a glimpse of a cow or pig inside. (I was blissfully clueless as to where they were headed) I begged my dad to take me to the Chicago Stock Yards so I could see and smell the cows. God love him, he did. Once I even saw sheep there and grabbed a handful of wool from the floor that I treasured for years. But there were never enough animals for me as a kid. So that I can give my grandson these animal experiences here means so much. And luckily he’s an animal lover as well and the animals all know it. #grateful
Photo of the Day: Horses in the next pasture gathered to greet him.
Blue is always by his side as they go exploring.
And of course the alpacas think he’s pretty cool too.

They just love him! And I think the feeling is mutual!
Thank you for the cups! My girlfriend and I love them!!! Happy Friday!

What a beautiful, soul-filling experience you give your grandson. I so wish more children had access to that world.

So do I Sunny.
