Saturday, October 9, 2021 I pulled the hay carts inside the barn yesterday and the alpaca party was inside all day. A lovely steady light rain fell all day and more is expected today. The trees seem happy and they’re showing off their best colors one last time. Snow is expected next week!
Our grandson is here for the weekend and I’m grateful for his help. I saved the highest hay bales for him to pull down for me and he loves that job. He’s also fascinated by the new trench and was out til almost dark digging smaller inlets to help wayward puddles find their way to the bigger moving water. You can read about hydrostatics in a book or you can learn it on a rainy day watching the flow of accumulating water – “water seeks it’s own level” now has new meaning for one boy! Happy Saturday!
