Thursday, August 12, 2021 Blue gets a lot more press than our other guardian dog Charlotte. (Because he’s younger and got into such trouble escaping last year and now is behaving like such a good boy around the babies.) But Charlotte is an excellent guardian and although she is very cautious around people, she’s the first to let us know when something is amiss. She loves her job, works beautifully with Blue. She definitely doesn’t interact with visitors like Blue does, and if she has ever come up to you for a greeting, you are one of the chosen few! She’s the perfect dog for us and we’re so glad she’s on the team.
PS. What a lovely day we had yesterday. All the boys stayed on their side of the fence and all the girls stayed on their side of the fence. I used to take that for granted, but not after what happened on Wednesday! lol Perhaps life’s little troubles do make us appreciate the mundane. 😀
Photo of the Day: Charlotte leads the herd out to the far pasture where she’ll keep close eye on them til they come back to the barn. Blue is already out there checking things out.
The team!

I cannot get enough of the stories about your dogs.

Thanks Sunny. A true livestock guardian dog is an amazing creature indeed. 😁

Linda I guess that I am one of the lucky visitors to have Charlotte allow me to pet her. I remember that visit quite well. Even my daughter was so surprised that she came up to me. But then Blue Moon is quite special and magical.

I remember that day too Michelle. ❤️
