Saturday, August 7, 2021 A cold front pushed a wall of smoke from California and Oregon into Utah yesterday and we now have the worst air on the planet. (not an exaggeration) Mountains? What mountains, we can’t see a thing. The advice we’re being given is stay indoors. But that doesn’t exactly make sense when our windows are open and we have no air-conditioning. The other thing the cold front brought was cool air. It’s 45° here this morning which is quite refreshing! It will be near 80° later today so I’ll enjoy it while I can. Happy Saturday!

We are getting the smoke too and have air quality warnings. We can’t see our mountains either! And we are way far east of you! Who knew smoke could travel so far. I can’t imagine how I’d handle evacuating all the animals here if we ever had fires like they have in the western states. Thankfully, we don’t get them hardly ever. Love that photo!

Wow. Smoke from California fires all the way to New Hampshire? I had no idea. Take care Lana!
