Wednesday, August 4, 2021 Oh those babies. They can make or break me. I know too well all the things that can go wrong when deciding to add new lives to the farm. I’ve seen my share of babies who don’t survive birth, mamas who can’t or won’t feed their babies, babies who get sick, and … well let’s not even go there. It’s stressful waiting for them to arrive but OMG now that all 3 are here and doing well, I can exhale and be so grateful for the way it went this year. It is impossible to feel sad when watching 3 babies race in the pastures at night. But of course they do that when its too dark for photos. ha Why did we have babies this year? Because our herd is aging, and I love working with the new fleeces from the younger animals. The 2020 pandemic made me think we needed something to look forward to and today I’m glad we made that decision. Happy Wednesday!
Photo of the Day: Benji and Ruthie are pretty close. lol And his ears are 100% straight now with no interference from us.
Little Raina has the most striking eyes and very long legs! She races with the other two and in a few more days will probably agree to a group photo. 😉
