Tuesday, August 3, 2021 Well, we’ve made it though one week without our big boy Chief. And I have to share some coincidences with you. Chief loved to chase trucks as they went down the road. Oh he stayed on our side of the fence, it was more like a race for him. I once had my animal communicator friend ask him why he did that and she told me his answer was “It’s fun”. Well Blue never chased trucks until last week. Coincidence? Also, Chief loved little kids when they’d visit and he’d roll on his back for belly rubs and delighted in little hand all over his belly. Blue did exactly that with our tours last week. Coincidence? One more – Chief was a bit of a fussy eater. Oh he’d eat his carefully prepared raw meal, but he liked it hand served in small bits with me feeding him in the order he preferred. Blue has been a ravenous eater … until last week. Now he just looks at me when I put his food own. Eventually he eats it, but I’ve had to sit with him while he eats. Coincidence? I’ll let you draw your own conclusions, but to think that a bit of my big boy Chief is somehow living on in our Blue gives me comfort. (Chief was his #1 trainer)
