Saturday, July 24, 2021 If you live in Utah like we do, you know that today is a holiday. For the rest of the world it’s just another Saturday in July and you might wonder what the fuss is all about here. Well, today commemorates the entry of Brigham Young and the first group of Mormon pioneers into the Salt Lake Valley on July 24, 1847. Since Pioneer sounds a bit like Pie and Beer, it’s also called Pie and Beer Day. 😀 I’ll let you guess which one we will be celebrating. Now why they had the big July 24 parade on July 23rd this year is beyond my grasp. But I have plenty to do here without worrying about that. Better get that pie in the oven too. lol Happy Saturday!

Cobbler counts as pie! Babies are sooo cute.
Off topic – I’m working away on a summer top (not from alpaca) that uses a top down, contiguous sleeve construction (developed by Susie Meyers) that is worth checking out.
