Friday, July 23, 2021 We enjoyed a bit of unexpected rainfall last night and this time I was so pleased to see that the new moms and babies had tucked themselves in the back of the barn without any interference from me. I have more than a few memories of running out in a rainstorm picking up a wet cria and taking them back to their mom in the barn. I much prefer when they do it themselves.  They are both gaining weight nicely are are becoming more interested in each other. So cute!

Full moon tonight – will that trigger labor for Ciara?  We’ll see. Her history suggests she might wait even longer. Her last pregnancy went 400 days!  (345 is normal)  I’m hoping history does not repeat itself this time.  Happy Friday!

Photo of the Day: Sweet Banjo is feeling a bit neglected these days. He wants to play with the babies, but I am 100% sure Blue would Not allow that to happen. Not to worry I’ll be sure to give Banjo extra attention today.
