Bogart gives us a scare

Wednesday, May 19, 2021   When we see alpacas in a huddle we know something is up, did someone just drop a baby, are they trying to stomp a racoon or other small creature?  And why is the dog barking like that? Ed walked over to the huddle and I head him say, “Oh oh. Something is wrong with Bogart”. Bogart is our mellow yellow barn cat and I was sick to think something had happened to him. I found him in a nest of grass between some old barbed wire and the fence to the new property. Alpacas were staring at him and Blue was barking at him. Ed though he was moaning. The sound was actually Bogart growling at Blue. Which he does often. And he was enjoying a nap until he somehow caught everyone’s attention. And then with alpacas huddled around him and their dog escort barking at him he didn’t feel safe running away from his napping place. So he stayed and growled.  Once I got the alpacas and Blue distracted Bogart disappeared and showed up few hours later in the barn asking for his food. Oh the life of a barn cat!  We love all 3 of ours and do what we can to keep them safe and happy.
