Saturday, May 8, 2021 Feeding time for the alpacas is every day – 365 days a year between 3 and 5. Lately they are enjoying the pastures quite a bit, so hay is optional and some days I don’t even need to add any to their feeders. But I always go out and check on every single animal. And every time I do, Remy comes to me with his smiling little face and asks for some pellets. Although like most alpacas he prefers not to be touched, when I’m feeding him his pellets he seems to enjoy some neck scratching and will let me pick off any hay that might be on his fiber. There are other boys who ask for pellets as well but if I try to touch them they’ll back away. Typical alpacas and that’s fine. And then there’s Remy. He still prefers his brothers company over mine, but our moments together each afternoon are kind of special. It’s very rare I will ever post a selfie – but when Remy gets in the frame I guess it’s OK. Happy Saturday!

That is so darling 😍 I just Love your blog. You know, I have coveted your life, from afar, since you and Ed became guardians of The Alpacas 😁💜

Thanks Sunny. Remember I mostly share the good stuff – this wonderful life has it challenges too. ❤️ But I wouldn’t change a thing. 😁

Love this picture! And it is wonderful when one of them allows you to scratch them. We’ve had a couple who seemed to like it, but most don’t, and as you said, that’s ok.
