Livestock guardian dogs

Sunday, April 25, 2021  I read two stories last week about devastating dog attacks on alpaca herds. Did you know dogs kill more alpacas than all other predators in North America? It’s true. Stray dogs, even happy neighborhood dogs can be deadly when they get involved in a game of chase with alpacas. We have lots of dogs running loose around here – not to mention the cougars and other wildlife. So we give our herd the protection they need by having these beautiful white guardian dogs live with them. It’s one reason why I sleep well at night.  I’m so grateful for the security they provide.  Happy Sunday, stay well~
